Abstract
L'invention concerne un adaptateur (100) capable d'être enfiché dans le lecteur de disquette d'un ordinateur; capable de recevoir un module de mémoire (12) pouvant être introduit et retiré par l'utilisateur et une carte à puce (13) pouvant être introduite et retirée par l'utilisateur; et capable de permettre à l'ordinateur d'avoir accès au module de mémoire (12) et à la carte à puce (13) pour y lire et/ou écrire. L'adaptateur (100) possède un cadre (19) présentant une forme extérieure conçue pour pouvoir être introduite dans une disquette et loger le module (12) et la carte à puce (13). Le cadre (19) loge un ensemble de circuits d'interface permettant de faciliter le transfert de données entre l'adaptateur et une tête de lecture/écriture d'un lecteur de disquette. L'adaptateur (100) comprend des creux respectifs dotés de contacts destinés à être couplés à des contacts correspondants (16, 17) d'un module de mémoire et d'une carte à puce lorsque ces derniers sont introduits dans l'adaptateur, formant ainsi une voie de transfert de données à partir du module (12) et de la carte à puce (13) et vers le module et la carte à puce. Le cadre (19) peut également loger une batterie (2) et/ou un générateur/alternateur et un ensemble de circuits associés de régulation permettant de fournir du courant à l'ensemble des circuits de l'adaptateur, à la carte à puce (13) et au module de mémoire (12).
