Abstract

The invention relates to a device for detecting a shift in a surface plasmon resonance, comprising a light source (1), a surface plasmon resonance transducer (2), a detector system (3) and an evaluation unit (4). The detector system comprises at least one pair of detector sections consisting of a first detector section and a second detector section. The first detector section is arranged at a distance from the second detector section and each detector section generates a signal (11, 12). The position of the detector system in relation to the light reflected by the surface plasmon resonance transducer is selected such that the evaluation unit can determine the position and shift of a surface plasmon resonance from the combination of the signals generated by the two detector sections.
