Abstract

L'invention concerne un fil-guide comprenant une partie proximale; une partie distale; et une partie saillante, ladite partie saillante faisant partie intégrante du fil-guide et étant disposée entre les parties proximale et distale. La partie saillante rétrécit dans le sens distal pour rejoindre progressivement la partie distale. Selon un autre aspect de l'invention, un cathéter intravasculaire comprend une tige de cathéter à l'extrémité distale de laquelle est fixé un élément de travail; une tige centrale disposée axialement dans la tige du cathéter, la tige centrale étant traversée d'une lumière pour fil-guide, et un fil-guide disposé coulissant dans la lumière pour fil-guide, le fil-guide comportant une section saillante solidaire et effilée à proximité de sa pointe distale. Lorsque le fil-guide est totalement rétracté de façon proximale, la surface proximale de la partie saillante est tournée vers la surface proximale correspondante de la tige du cathéter et bute contre celle-ci de manière à présenter une transition progressive entre le fil-guide et la partie distale de la tige du cathéter. Selon un autre aspect, la présente invention concerne un cathéter à ballonnet d'angioplastie coronarienne transluminale percutanée comprenant un cathéter et une tige centrale, l'un et l'autre étant traversés d'une lumière axiale. Un ballonnet gonflable est disposé à proximité de l'extrémité distale de la tige du cathéter. La tige centrale est disposée dans la lumière axiale de la tige du cathéter. La tige du cathéter ou la tige centrale, voire les deux, comprennent un fil, une bobine ou une tresse de fil contenue dans ceux-ci ou enroulée autour de leur diamètre extérieur de manière à augmenter la capacité de torsion du cathéter à ballonnet.
