If no identification signal is received within the set time window, the operation of the border reflex unit will be terminated, as indicated by function block 15.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant, dans un réseau de télécommunications, de définir et d'utiliser une interface entre le côté propriétaire du réseau et le côté utilisateur du réseau. En l'occurrence, on a adapté une unité d'interface pour d'une part communiquer avec la côté propriétaire du réseau et d'autre part enregistrer tout changement d'état affectant le côté utilisateur du réseau. Le procédé consiste d'abord à prendre un signal de test défini d'un central téléphonique et à l'envoyer aussi bien du côté propriétaire du réseau que du côté utilisateur du réseau. Le procédé consiste ensuite à renvoyer au central téléphonique depuis l'unité réflexe frontière un signal de réponse caractéristique, d'une part de l'état intact d'une ligne téléphonique (jusqu'à l'unité réflexe frontière), et d'autre part de tout état des équipements au-delà sur le réseau. Autrement, s'il y a un défaut sur la ligne entre le central téléphonique et l'unité réflexe frontière ou au niveau de l'unité réflexe frontière proprement dite, le procédé consiste à ne pas renvoyer de signal de réponse. Le procédé consiste enfin à constituer au niveau du central téléphonique un aperçu de l'état de la ligne téléphonique jusqu'à l'unité réflexe frontière caractéristique de la réception ou de la non-réception du signal de réponse.
