Abstract

Un endoscope thoracique auxiliaire, utile pour la chirurgie thoracique invasive a minima, comporte un ensemble d'imagerie pourvu d'un système de fixation qui permet de positionner l'ensemble sur la paroi supérieure de la cavité thoracique. Dans l'un des modes de réalisation, l'ensemble d'imagerie est un ensemble caméra CCD, sur lequel se ferme une enveloppe externe constituant une protection fermée au moment de l'introduction. Une fois la caméra introduite, l'enveloppe s'ouvre comme un parapluie pour former un ancrage de stabilisation ou une base en contact avec la paroi thoracique. La caméra, qui a un champ de vision panoramique, peut tourner autour d'un axe support de façon à faire face à une direction choisie dans le plan horizontal et, de préférence, elle peut se déplacer autour d'un axe transversal, ce qui permet de régler la perspective verticale. Un arbre support peut coulisser pour faire monter ou descendre la caméra. Dans l'un des modes de réalisation, l'ensemble d'imagerie est une matrice à photodétecteurs réagissant au rayonnement IR ou thermique. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'ensemble d'imagerie comprend une source de lumière placée à l'extérieur de la cavité, avec un relais ou une connexion temporaire aboutissant à la face de sortie de la caméra. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, l'unité peut fonctionner sans source de lumière propre ou sans éclairage extrinsèque. L'ensemble caméra peut comporter un élément zoom permettant de faire varier l'agrandissement du champ de l'image.
