Abstract

Novel non-invasive or non-pathogenic gram-positive microorganisms are provided which are transformed or transfected with DNA coding for one or more enzymes responsible for the production of a polysaccharide immunogen from a pathogenic bacterium. Vaccines comprising such microorganisms and their use in therapy are also provided, as are suitable DNA constructs and vectors.
