Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à une dispersion à base d'eau servant à former une composition de revêtement aqueuse contenant un pigment dispersé, un véhicule aqueux et un dispersant (liant) polymère ramifié. Le polymère ramifié possède un poids moléculaire moyen en poids d'environ 5 000 à 100 000 et contient 20 à 80 % en poids d'une ossature hydrophile et, respectivement, 80 à 20 % en poids de chaînes latérales macromonomères; où l'ossature est constituée de monomères éthyléniquement insaturés polymérisés et de 2 à 30 % en poids, calculé sur la base du poids de l'ossature, de monomères éthyléniquement insaturés polymérisés ayant un groupe fonctionnel acide; et où au moins 10 % des groupes fonctionnels acides sont neutralisés avec une amine ou une base organique; et ladite ossature est hydrophile par rapport aux chaînes latérales; ces chaînes latérales étant constituées de macromonomères, de monomères éthyléniquement insaturés polymérisés, qui sont polymérisés en une ossature via un groupe éthyléniquement instauré et lesdits macromonomères ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en poids d'environ 1 000 à 30 000 et le rapport en poids pigment/liant étant compris entre 1/100 et 200/100.
