Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de codage de voies dans lequel les turbo-codes sont appliqués à des services de données GSM à débit élevé. Le codeur de voies comprend au moins deux codeurs de convolution systématiques récurrents en parallèle (13, 14) reliés l'un à l'autre au moyen d'une unité d'imbrication (15). Les informations de communication (u) à coder sont transmises aux deux codeurs de convolution de préférence à un débit compris entre 12,0 kilobits/s et 15,7 kilobits/s. L'application des turbo-codes à des services de données GSM à débit élevé permet de meilleures performances de transmission qu'avec le système GSM traditionnel à 12,0 kilobits/s.
