Till now known state of the technique
Many training aids that have been used for teaching the serve in tennis until now, have mainly been dependent on a single-purpose evaluation done visually by the coach Current practice methods which have been used with or without technical aids involve several attempts, where the student executes the ball toss to a certain height in a certain direction according to his own estimate The attempts are only approximate and unrepeated, so that in this practice step, the student does not know whether the executed attempts are correct Technical aids that have been available for practice of the serve have not facilitated
correct, immediate short and long-term evaluation, independent of humane factor
Substance o the invention
According to the innovation, the apparatus for teaching the serve eliminates the above stated deficiencies The essence rests in combining the mechanical exercise system, which enables the whole teaching of the flat serve in five training stages In each training session the coach and student are immediately informed of the results The apparatus for teaching the serve consists of the baseplate where there are a main pole and its hydraulic system, which is connected with the hydraulic tubes to the hydraulic pump with the oil tank and supporting poles with the ladder, where the service platform with the distribution box is mounted At the same level opposite the distribution box is a computer with a control panel and display screen At the top of the movable hydraulic pole attached in a horizontal plane is the delivery arm held by the supporting plate On the opposite side there is a counter-balance, a ball container in which is mounted the electromotor with the rotor The delivery arm ends with a ball feed opening where are fastened the ball suspender, radar, ball target and ball target indicator Also attached on the delivery arm are the indicator bar and deflector bar The indicator bar is attached at the bottom of the supporting plate, where the ball toss indicator and ball hitting indicator are located At the end of the delivery arm is the deflector bar, where the deflector plates are located The electric feed cable is connected to the distribution box from which the electric and electronic devices of the apparatus are fed
According to the innovation, the apparatus enables us to teach the ball toss, motion of the playing arm, the optimal hitting time of the playing arm, combining the optimal tossing time with the optimal hitting time, and transition from the Serve Tutor to an unaided serve In each training stage the information is rendered immediately, namely in practicing ball toss accuracy, practicing and perfecting the motion of the playing arm - the time of the hitting phase and ball speed after the serve, in practicing the optimal hitting time of the playing arm - the time of the hitting phase and ball speed after the serve, in practicing combining the optimal tossing time with the optimal hitting time - the serve
executed by the student only, the serve executed with assistance of the Serve Tutor and ball speed after the serve
After each practice or training the statistical data about efficiency of the training process are available, which enables a comparison with previous results as well as a mutual comparison of students The systematic usage of this apparatus reinforces student's self-confidence and speeds up growth, the apparatus is available for teaching beginners as well as advanced players The training process runs accurately according to the predetermined program as well as the individual needs of the student
