These properties are achieved through a viscosity that is matched to the pore size of the substrate.

- a polysiloxane is formed as an active ingredient on the surface of the building material and in the pores and micro cracks near the surface. Hydrophobing protects the concrete from the attack of freeze-thawing salt, however, the means used are relatively cost-intensive, so that complete waterproofing of a noise protection wall is certainly out of the question for reasons of cost.
