Abstract

Cette invention concerne un appareil conçu spécialement pour être couplé à l'extrémité proximale d'un endoscope médical et permettre l'affichage d'une image vidéo du site cible situé au niveau de l'extrémité distale dudit endoscope. Ledit appareil est composé (1) d'un boîtier de caméra contenant un capteur d'images électronique à circuits intégrés, (2) un moniteur vidéo et (3) un coupleur d'endoscope, la caméra ne comportant aucune pièce motorisée et l'extérieur du boîtier ayant des dimensions et une forme permettant à un utilisateur de le tenir facilement dans la main. Le moniteur vidéo est conçu pour pouvoir être fixé de manière détachable au boîtier de la caméra par l'intermédiaire d'un connecteur électromécanique qui constitue assure à la fois une interconnexion électrique et un lien structural ajustable sensiblement rigide.
