Abstract

Ce dispositif (10) d'intubation pour la respiration artificielle, destiné à faciliter la ventilation pulmonaire chez un patient, comprend un tuyau (14) d'intubation ainsi qu'un masque laryngé (11), à une extrémité du tuyau (14). Ce masque (11), de forme générale elliptique, présente un manchon périphérique gonflable (12), en matériau flexible, placé autour des bords su masque (11), afin de soutenir ce masque (11) et que celui-ci entoure hermétiquement l'entrée du larynx (27) du patient. Le masque (11) présente une ouverture (13) à travers laquelle passe le tuyau (14) débouchant ensuite dans l'intérieur du masque (11), et il comprend également une tige (20) orientée longitudinalement s'étendant à travers ladite ouverture (13), à partir du bord central supérieur (21) de celle-ci, à laquelle la tige est fixée de manière efficace par charnière, jusqu'au bord (21) postérieur de l'ouverture du masque (13), au niveau duquel la tige (20) est libre. La fixation à charnière de la tige (20) est placée de manière à être décalée longitudinalement de l'extrémité distale du masque (11) (lequel se place dans le sphincter supérieur ou entrée oesophagienne), afin qu'au moment de l'introduction du tube endotrachéal (29), celui-ci entre en contact avec la tige (20), la fasse basculer vers l'arrière afin que la tige entre en prise avec l'épiglotte (30) et la plie facilement vers l'arrière, contre la paroi de l'ouverture laryngée, permettant ainsi le passage par insertion non fléchie du tube endotrachéal (29) vers l'orifice laryngien et à travers celui-ci.
