Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif d'absorption d'énergie associé à un objet. Ledit dispositif contient une partie corps dotée d'une fente longitudinale pouvant recevoir au moins deux couches de cordon ajustées serrées. Les couches peuvent se déplacer dans des directions opposées ce qui, en cas de nécessité d'absorption d'énergie, entraîne un déplacement du cordon par rapport audit dispositif. La friction entre le cordon et le dispositif contrôle la force de l'objet. Il est possible d'augmenter la largeur de la fente après arrêt de l'objet, ce qui réduit la friction et permet de contrôler la suite du mouvement de l'objet. L'invention prévoit une chute à deux étapes avec contrôle de la descente après la première chute.
