More particularly, the present invention relates to a cosmetic pencil that includes a body containing a first longitudinally disposed channel extending a portion of the body and having a diameter and a second longUiidinally disposed channel collinearly positioned with the first longitudinally disposed channel extending the remaining portion of the body and having a diameter greater than that of the first longitudinally disposed channel, a liner crayon disposed in the first longitudinally disposed channel with a diameter equal to that of the first longitudinally disposed channel, and a blender crayon disposed in the second longitudinally disposed channel with a diameter equal to that of the second longitudinally disposed channel.
- a cosmetic pencil that includes a body containing a first longitudinally disposed channel extending a portion of the body and having a diameter and a second longitudinally disposed channel collinearly positioned with the first longitudinally disposed channel extending the remaining portion of the body and having a diameter different than that of the first longitudinally disposed channel, a liner crayon disposed in the first longitudinally disposed channel with a diameter equal to that of the first longitudinally disposed channel, and a blender crayon disposed in the second longitudinally disposed channel with a diameter equal to that of the second longitudinally disposed channel.
- the pencil capable of being sharpened in a pencil sharpener.
- the pencil has a cosmetic core and a casing comprising a homogeneous blend of materials including a major portion of polyethylene whose density is in the range of between about 0.88 g/cc and 0.99 g/cc, a hardness in the rage of between about 35-70 as measured by ASTM D-2240, and a softening point above 60° C.
- the stick comprises a stable stick body formed from bound base powder components, pigment, and, an optional binding agent and adhesion agent
- the stick body is formed from at least two stick body portions which are joined together over the length of the stick and which differ in composition from each other.
- U.S. Patent No. 4,987,911 to Powers teaches a cosmetic pencil capable of advancing a soft cosmetic mass a short predetermined distance.
- the pencil has a lower barrel which includes a gripping disk stop.
- a hollow sheath member is held in the lower barrel and has an outwardly facing cam surface.
- a holding tube is rotatably inserted into the lower barrel and surrounds the sheath member.
- the holding tube also has a cam surface, and a spring member and gripping disk surround a push rod which extends into the center portion of the sheath which holds the soft cosmetic mass. Tur ⁇ ing the holding tube forces the sheath inwardly, and the gripping disk holds the push rod steady with respect to the lower barrel and, thus, a small amount of cosmetic mass is moved upwardly by the movement of the sheath with respect to the push rod.

- a second clear plastic point protector cover cap 24 has a second clear plastic point protector cover cap hollow cylindrical body 24A with a second clear plastic point protector cover cap closed end 24B and a second clear plastic point protector cover cap open end 24C.
- the second clear plastic point protector cover cap 24 can be slipped over the cylindrical barrel second tapered end 20 to protect the blender/concealer crayon tapered distal end 22A when the blender/concealer crayon 22 is not in use.
- the blender/concealer crayon 22 Since the diameter of the blender/concealer crayon 22 is equal to the diameter of the cylindrical barrel channel second portion 13B, and since the diameter of the cylindrical barrel channel second portion 13B is greater than that of the cylindrical barrel channel first portion 13A, the blender/concealer crayon 22 terminates at a ledge 15 created at the point where the cylindrical barrel channel first portion 13A and the cylindrical barrel channel second portion 13B meet.
- the method of using the cosmetic pencil 10 can best be seen in FIGURE 6, and as such, will be discussed with reference thereto.
- STEP 1 Begin lining at the outside comer of the eye to the center of the top and bottom lash lines using the liner crayon tapered distal end 16A;
- STEP 2 Using the tip of a brush, smudge the lining in towards the inside corner of the upper and lower lids;
- STEP 3 Using the tip of the brush, brush the smudge out and up into the natural crease of the eye under the brow bone;
- STEP 4 Apply blender, using the blender/concealer crayon tapered end 22 A, to the center of the upper lid and the brow bone;
- STEP 5 Apply concealer, using the blender/concealer crayon tapered end 22 A below the lower lash line;
- STEP 6 Then using the flat surface of a sponge, blend the entire upper lid blended area;
- STEP 7 Using a tip of the sponge, feather out the concealed area below the lower lash line to the end of the brow.
- STEP 1 The cylindrical barrel 12 is machined from incense cedar with a length of 5.125" and a diameter of .405" and lacquered with matte purple;
- STEP 2 The blender/concealer crayon 22 is molded with a diameter of .205";
- STEP 3 The liner crayon 16 is extruded with a diameter of .162";
- STEP 4 Direct style is imprinted onto the cylindrical barrel 12; and
- STEP 5 The first clear plastic point protector cover cap 18 and the second clear plastic point protector cover cap 24 are added giving an overall length of 55".
