Abstract

A projection arrangement and a method for colour pixel light separation giving a side-displaced position of the projected picture on a screen (11). Light from several colours, e.g. generated by laser diodes (2), is transmitted through an image generating device (1K, 2K) and a projection lens (7). The image generating device (1K, 2K) is preferably a LCD of dispersive type. The side-displaced positioning of the picture is achieved either by means of microprisms, tilted microlenses and/or diffractive optical elements on the exit side of the image generating device (1K, 2K) or an off-axis field lens.
