Definitions

  • Packaging laminates comprising mutually bonded layers of aluminium and plastic, for example polyethylene, as in the above-described conventional packaging laminate, are normally produced by an extrusion process of the type described by way of introduction, in which molten polyethylene is extruded onto a web of aluminium. The web is led through the nip between rotating cooling rollers which, under pressure, cause the extruded polyethylene layer to harden for the formation of a well-integrated laminate material.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un matériau stratifié (1), par exemple pour l'emballage, comportant des couches de plastique et d'aluminium liées mutuellement (respectivement 4 et 2) et présentant une bonne résistance des liaisons internes, consistant à extruder sur la bande d'aluminium (2) du plastique en fusion (4) et à le faire durcir sur cette dernière. En vue d'une amélioration de l'adhérence entre la bande d'aluminium (2) et le plastique extrudé, celle-ci est amenée en contact avec un milieu aqueux chaud (3) permettant la formation de couches de surface de fausse boehmite sur la bande d'aluminium (2) avant la mise en contact de celle-ci avec le plastique en fusion (4). Ce milieu aqueux (3) est constitué d'eau maintenue à une température comprise entre environ 90 et 120 °C, mais peut également être de la vapeur d'eau chaude pulvérisée sur la bande d'aluminium.
