Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for forming a packing box. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for forming a packing box with a strip-shaped moisture resistant band which functions to prevent contents from being leaked out of the box even when the packing box is partially deformed due to careless handling while the box is transported or stored.
  • packing boxes are required to be impact- resistant, durable, and watertight, since it is very important to preserve their contents such as a solid detergent and the like as their original state while the contents are consumed or the packed products are being in circulation. If a packing box failed to have properties as mentioned above, it encounters several problems. For example, since the solid detergent packed in the box is in the form of fine particles, it may be easily agglomerated upon contact with air or moisture which may leak into the box. Also, the packing box is apt to be damaged at its corner or edge by an impact possibly applied thereto from outside during transportation or in circulation, thereby its contents may leak through a hole or a gap formed due to the damage.
  • a conventional packing box is integrally formed at its upper portion with a tear tape portion so as to make the box be easily opened.
  • the tear tape portion is defined at the upper portion of the vertical wall member of the box by perforated lines, outer air or humidity may be penetrated into the box through the perforated lines, thereby accelerating the agglomeration of the solid detergent packed in the box.
