Abstract

L'invention concerne un système (10) et un procédé de lutte antipollution. Dans ce procédé, on refroidit les gaz de combustion chauds à une température de saturation dans un refroidisseur rapide (8) et on le fait passer dans un ensemble absorbeur/condenseur (13) pour refroidir encore davantage les gaz saturés et augmenter la taille des petites particules à mesure qu'elles agissent comme des noyaux pour la condensation de la vapeur d'eau. Les particules de taille augmentée sont envoyées dans des ouvertures (52, 53, 54) constituant des étranglements à faible perte de charge, ce qui permet de recueillir efficacement les particules formées. Les ouvertures produisent à leur sortie une concentration de gaz et de gouttelettes d'eau. Des inverseurs de flux de gaz en forme de dôme (62, 63, 64) ayant des surfaces concaves dirigées vers l'amont, sont disposés à une certaine distance des ouvertures (52, 53, 54) avec lesquelles il sont alignés. Les inverseurs de flux de gaz (62, 63, 64) reçoivent le flux de gaz sortant des ouvertures (52, 53, 54), mélangent et diffusent le gaz et ses constituants lorsque ceux-ci changent de direction et débordent des lèvres de l'inverseur de flux de gaz (62, 63, 64). On prévoit un filtre électrostatique (23) en aval des inverseurs du flux de gaz (62, 63, 64), pour enlever du flux de gaz les particules et les gouttelettes d'eau fines résiduelles.
