Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé d'inactivation de molécules virales présentes dans un échantillon de sang et des composés destinés à être utilisés dans ce procédé. Pour inactiver des molécules virales on ajoute dans un échantillon de sang contenant un virus, une quantité efficace d'un composé qui présente une affinité pour un acide nucléique viral et qui peut être activé dans un état excité dans lequel le composé se lie de manière covalente à l'acide nucléique viral. On laisse au composé le temps de former un complexe avec l'aide nucléique viral puis on intensifie l'excitation du composé par activation chimique. Dans une première forme d'exécution on utilise du psoralène, de l'hypéricine ou un dérivé de psoralène ou d'hypéricine comme composé activable, inactivant les virus et l'activation chimique du composé résulte de la décomposition d'un dioxétane situé juste à côté du complexe acide nucléique/composé. Dans une deuxième forme d'exécution on incorpore le composé activable, inactivant les virus dans une molécule de dioxétane, et l'activation chimique du composé résulte de la décomposition du dioxétane en deux composés carbonyle.
