Definitions
- the invention relates to solid detergent raw materials which are surface-coated with a polysiloxane and thus have a hydrophobic surface. It is thereby achieved that during the dissolving process of detergents which have been produced from such raw materials, the penetration is delayed, which leads to an improved washability of the detergent.
- This publication discloses granular detergent additives, consisting of a granular, porous, water-soluble or water-dispersible carrier material and water-soluble or water-dispersible nonionic surfactants adsorbed thereon, in which the adsorbed non-ionic surfactant in a homogeneous mixture with a Hydrophobic substance having polar groups is present, the weight ratio of nonionic surfactant to hydrophobic substance being 99: 1 to 60:40.
- the hydrophobic substance preferably consists of fatty acids with 12 to 22 carbon atoms.
- a polymethylhydrogensiloxane is known from a company prospectus of Bayer AG Leverkusen entitled "Baysilone Oil MH 15", in which all residues R have the formula listed below
- Baysilone oil MH 15 is used to prevent agglomerations and thus to improve the flowability of fine-grained inorganic materials.
- the flowability of powdery substances and their agglomeration are thought of.
- the adhesion of water-swollen detergent preparations can be prevented by delayed dissolving of substances treated in this way.
- the object of the invention is to provide hydrophobized detergent components. These hydrophobized detergent constituents surprisingly improve the washing-in behavior of the detergents produced from them. In addition, detergents made from such hydrophobic components show more favorable technical properties, in particular favorable storage behavior under moist and warm conditions.
- the invention thus relates to particles of a solid detergent raw material, characterized in that they are superficially, at least partially, coated with the reaction product of a polysiloxane component which is at least partially reactive toward acidic hydrogen.
- the particles according to the invention can be produced with comparatively little technical effort.
- the respective detergent raw material to be treated serves as the starting product.
- This can be a single raw material, such as zeolite, a bleaching oxygen carrier, a bleach activator, or it can be preparations such as, for example, enzyme preparations, Foam preparations or the like. The only requirement is that the substance or preparation is in solid, granular form.
- the raw material is then brought into contact with the polysiloxane component at temperatures between 10 ° C. and 120 ° C. The person skilled in the art will only choose the higher temperatures if the material is insensitive to temperature and a rapid reaction of the polysiloxane component is desired.
- the reaction between the polysiloxane component and the detergent raw material is advantageously carried out with mixing.
- the mixing ratios for the ratio of the detergent raw material to the reactive polysiloxane component are between 15: 1 and 2000: 1, in particular between 25: 1 and 2000: 1.
- Polysiloxane components suitable according to the invention are polysiloxanes with reactive groups, as are shown in particular by the above-mentioned general formula (I).
- R denotes an alkyl group with 1 to 4 C atoms and X either hydrogen, chlorine, a substituted amino group, an oxyalkyl group, the substituents on these groups X having 1 to 4 C atoms per molecule, or an alkyl group R, where at least one group X per molecule is not an alkyl group.
- the polysiloxane components of the formula (I) used according to the invention the chain length of which is predetermined by the number n, which represents a number between 1 and 50, can carry the same or different alkyl groups.
- radical R represents a methyl group and the group X either hydrogen or a methyl group, with the proviso that at least one group X per molecule represents hydrogen on average and not a methyl group.
- group X either hydrogen or a methyl group
- Prefers are those in which the equivalent of the Si-H groups is between 2 millimoles and 20 millimoles per gram of polysiloxane.
- the person skilled in the art can increase the temperature in the specified temperature range up to 120 ° C. or, if desired, up to a higher temperature.
- catalysts are, for example, amino-functional silanes in amounts of 2 to 50% by weight, based on the amount of the reactive polysiloxane. These catalysts are expediently added in a separate process step after the addition of the polysiloxane or simultaneously with the reactive siloxane, if appropriate via separate nozzles.
- the reactive polysiloxane according to the invention can be used quickly and safely at higher temperatures, it is preferred to incorporate the polysiloxane component at room temperature or, if appropriate, at the temperature at which the detergent raw material is present at the end of its manufacturing process . Particularly preferred temperatures are therefore between 20 and 50 ° C.
- the inorganic raw materials include, in particular, zeolite, alkali percarbonate, alkali perborate, alkali carbonate, alkali sulfate, amorphous alkali silicate or layered silicate and / or blends or detergents or compounds of the aforementioned raw materials which are common in detergents.
- particles which consist entirely or at least predominantly of an inorganic detergent raw material are coated with the reactive polysiloxane.
- the zeolites fine crystalline, synthetic water-containing zeolites of the NaA type which have a calcium binding capacity in the range from 100 to 200 mg CaO / g are preferred.
- particles which consist entirely or at least predominantly of an organic detergent raw material are coated with the reactive polysiloxane.
- organic detergent raw materials include surfactants, in particular anionic surfactants, organic builder substances, preferably alkali metal citrates, solid organic acids, in particular aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and / or their water-soluble salts.
- the organic detergent raw materials which can be used also include the solid or ready-to-use synthetic anionic surfactants of the sulfonate type or of the sulfate type, which are usually present in the form of their alkali metal salts, in particular their sodium salts.
- the surfactants containing sulfonate groups the alkylbenzenesulfonates, sulfofatty acid ester salts and ⁇ -sulfofatty acid disalts are preferred.
- Preferred anionic surfactants of the sulfate type are the fatty alkyl sulfates with Cg-iß-alkyl groups.
- the detergent raw materials can also be pre-assembled organic and in particular organic raw materials such as bleaching agent compounds and in particular enzyme granules or prills, particulate or particulate defoamer active ingredients, optical brighteners and / or bleach activators such as granulated tetraacetylethylene diamine.
- Such prefabricated raw materials can be prepared by known processes, for example in the case of bleaching agent compounds as in German patent specification DE 24 18263, in the case of enzyme granules for example in accordance with the processes described in European patent specification EP 168526 or international patent application WO 92/11347.
- the particles according to the invention are preferably used for the production of particulate washing or cleaning agents. Surprisingly, the finished detergents thus obtained are also significantly improved in their washing-in behavior compared to detergents which contain the raw washing materials in untreated form.
- the particles according to the invention are particularly preferably used for the production of washing or cleaning agents which have an increased bulk density of 600 g / 1 to 1200 g / 1, in particular particular from 730 g / 1 to 890 g / 1. The production of such agents with increased density is described in the patent literature.
- the incorporation of the detergent raw materials hydrophobicized according to the invention also has a particularly favorable effect on the products produced by the process of international patent application WO 91/02047.
- a granular detergent Gl of the composition given in Table 1 was prepared.
- the constituents mentioned in the 1st to 9th positions were converted into a partial powder by extrusion, to which a bleach activator granulate containing TAED according to EP 037 026, an enzyme granule containing protease Lat defoamer granules according to WO 92/11347 and silicone were mixed according to WO 91/12306.
- the quantities are% by weight, based on the finished detergent.
- TAED granules or enzyme granules onto which BaysiloneCvMH 15 had previously been sprayed were used in the otherwise identical detergents W1 and H2, respectively (weight compensation over water).
- B residue less than 10 g (the number indicates the amount of residue in grams)
- C more than 10 g residue (with the amount of residue in grams).
- the dissolution rate was examined in a further test, the time being measured within which 90% by weight of the composition were in a stirred vessel (5 g each of the composition to be examined in 500 g of water at 20 ° C., concentration measurement over the Conductivity). The values determined (in seconds) are also listed in Table 2.
