Definitions
- the invention relates to aqueous cleaning agents for human skin, in particular hand cleaning agents which, owing to their special composition, are distinguished by good cleaning action and good moisturizing properties.
- cleaning agents which usually contain surfactants, water, abrasives, organic solvents and optionally other auxiliary substances. These products are usually offered commercially in the form of pastes or creams.
- a particularly well-suited class of surfactants that are suitable for use in hand cleaners are fatty alcohol sulfates.
- Fatty alcohol sulfates are usually obtained by sulfonating fatty alcohols, which are refined products of natural fats and oils.
- fatty alcohol sulfates are usually obtained by sulfonating fatty alcohols, which are refined products of natural fats and oils.
- the invention therefore relates to aqueous cleansers for human skin containing one or more organic solvents and one or more anionic surfactants, at least one anionic surfactant being a sulfotriglyceride.
- anionic surfactant being a sulfotriglyceride.
- sulfotriglycerides are understood to mean the sulfonation products of triglycerides of saturated fatty acids with 8 to 22 carbon atoms.
- the mixtures according to the invention are notable for good moisturizing properties, which are subjectively experienced by a pleasant feeling on the skin. In contrast to conventional mixtures, no additional moisturizing component is required to achieve this skin feeling. In addition, the mixtures according to the invention are notable for good foaming behavior.
- Sulfotriglycerides are prepared in a manner known per se by sulfonating the corresponding saturated fatty acid triglycerides. The sulfotriglycerides which have been found to be particularly suitable for use in aqueous hand cleaners according to the invention and which were prepared by sulfonating the fatty acid triglycerides with gaseous sulfur trioxide.
- the sulfotriglycerides are complex mixtures which contain the salts of ⁇ -sulfofatty acids, sulfated partial glycerides and fatty acids as the main components.
- the triglycerides of saturated fatty acids required for the sulfonation can be of natural origin or can be obtained by esterifying 1 mol of glycerol with 3 mol of fatty acids. If one starts from fats and oils, that is to say natural mixtures of different fatty acid triglycerides, these are hydrogenated in a manner known per se to low residual iodine numbers below 5, and in particular below 2, before sulfonation.
- suitable feedstocks are palm oil, palm kernel oil, olive oil, coriander oil, sunflower oil, cottonseed oil, peanut oil, linseed oil, lard oil, turnip oil or lard. Because of their high proportion of saturated fatty acids, it has proven to be particularly advantageous to start from coconut oil or beef tallow.
- the cleaning agents according to the invention contain, in addition to auxiliaries as an essential constituent, only organic solvents and anionic surfactants, but no friction bodies. These agents are preferably used where contamination such as paints, resins, oils and greases can be expected.
- the type of organic solvent is not particularly limited per se. However, gasoline and hydrocarbons are preferably used.
- a friction body in the mixtures according to the invention in order to increase the range of action of the agents. It is advisable to add mixtures or consistency enhancers or special stabilizers to the mixtures containing the friction bodies as auxiliary substances in order to prevent sedimentation of the friction bodies or to keep the friction bodies in suspension.
- the choice of the friction bodies suitable according to the invention is not subject to any particular restrictions.
- mineral friction bodies such as sand or pumice stone powder pose the risk of injuring the skin during the cleaning process
- gentle friction bodies are preferably used in the cleaning agents according to the invention, eg. B. wood flour, nutshell regrind such as Walnussscha ⁇ len flour and plastic flour, z. B. made of polyurethane, polyethylene granules or PVC.
- the content of sulfotriglycerides in the agents according to the invention is 3 to 30% by weight. A content of 5 to 15% by weight and in particular 8 to 15% by weight is particularly preferred.
- the content of organic solvents in the agents according to the invention is 3 to 50% by weight. A content of 5 to 45% by weight is preferred.
- the agents according to the invention contain a friction body, this is contained in an amount of 3 to 15% by weight, based on the entire mixture. It is particularly preferred to use the friction body in an amount of 5 to 15% by weight and in particular 8 to 12% by weight.
- Hardened coconut oil Hydrogenated coconut oil with the following fatty acid distribution (figures in% by weight): 1% caproic acid; 8% caprylic acid; 7% capric acid; 48% lauric acid; 17% myristic acid; 9% pal itic acid; 10% stearic acid.
- the iodine number of coconut oil was 2.
- Sulfococo oil Sulfoconut oil was obtained by SO 3 sulfonation of hardened coconut oil (see above) as follows: 5 ol hardened were in a continuously working falling film reactor (length 120 cm, cross section 1 cm, educt throughput 600 g / hour) with jacket cooling and lateral S03 gassing Coconut oil with an iodine number of 2 at a temperature of 80 ° C with 3 moles of gaseous SO3 (5% by volume in air); this corresponds to a molar ratio of triglyceride to SO3 of 1: 3.0.
- the coconut oil was sprayed into the reactor through a nozzle with an opening of 0.2 cm in such a way that the starting material along the tube wall formed a continuous fine film with a layer thickness of less than 0.1 cm.
- the acidic reaction mixture was continuously neutralized at 60 to 65 ° C. with 50% by weight sodium hydroxide solution.
- Active substance 50.5% by weight (calculated from the difference in dry residue minus sodium sulfate).

- test soiling consisting of:
- the test was carried out by a test panel of 12 people who had practical experience in assessing hand cleaners. The following were assessed a) the cleaning effect b) the feeling on the skin
- Hand cleaning agents according to the composition given in Table 4 were obtained by stirring all the components together in a room. temperature produced. The agents were characterized with regard to their cleansing effect, the subjectively experienced skin feeling by the test subjects, and the consistency. The results found are also shown in Table 1.
