  • One aspect of the high frequency ballast circuit 100 of the present invention is that it can be operated by an unfiltered or other uneven input voltage.
  • the reason it may be desirable to operate with an unfiltered input voltage is that the use of such an input voltage substantially prevents line pulse current and associated poor power factors when a rectified input voltage is filtered to obtain a clean DC voltage.
  • Two approaches to use of an unfiltered input voltage are disclosed herein.

Abstract

On décrit un ballast électronique haute fréquence (128) comportant un transformateur (104) muni d'un enroulement primaire (106) couplé à un enroulement secondaire (108) par un chemin de flux primaire (1), à partir duquel le flux peut être dévié par un deuxième chemin de flux (2) caractérisé par un passage d'air réglable (114). L'utilisation du transformateur permet d'alimenter la charge à partir d'une source de courant alternatif redressé, qui peut être compensé par une alimentation haute fréquence (192) de manière à conférer à l'alimentation alternative un facteur de puissance favorable.
