In it, however, the consumption of peat is very great, typically 1,6 times the amount of sludge. This means 300 - 1000 % peat dry substances in relation to the sludge dry substances. Decomposition of the sludge is also not a final solution, because the decomposed sludge still demands a drying agent, which increases the mass to be dealt with. In Finnish Patent 51338 presents the production of useful soil using decomposed sludge. Its dry substances content should be more than 10 %.

Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'égouttage de boues, ce procédé consistant à mélanger de la tourbe à la boue afin d'en porter la teneur en matières sèches à un niveau compris entre 20 et 150 %, après quoi le mélange est mécaniquement comprimé pour en séparer le constituant aqueux. Selon l'invention, la tourbe est mélangée avec précaution afin de ne pas en briser la structure. La compression est effectuée par l'intermédiaire d'une presse à vis à fonctionnement continu dans laquelle se trouve une chemise de filtration interne. La teneur en matières sèches de la tourbe à mélanger est comprise entre 50 et 120 kg/m3, de préférence entre 50 et 80 kg/m3.
