Abstract
Un procédé de lutte contre les incendies de puits de pétrole consiste à répandre de l'azote liquide sur le lieu de l'incendie afin d'empêcher que l'oxygène n'alimente les flammes. On effectue ce procédé en utilisant un véhicule commandé à distance et pourvu d'une source (7) d'approvisionnement en azote liquide ainsi que d'une flèche articulée (11), pouvant se déployer et répandre l'azote liquide sur le lieu (15) de l'incendie d'un puits de pétrole.
