Abstract
Un système de séparation huile/eau est constitué d'un récipient séparateur dans lequel se forme une couche de fluide (32) émulsifiée finement dispersée à l'interface d'une couche d'eau (26) et d'une couche d'huile (30). On fait passer un courant (34) de couche d'émulsion (32) par un séparateur hydrocyclone (40) afin de séparer et de faire sortir le constituant le plus dense et le constituant le moins dense (70) dudit courant (34) de couche d'émulsion. Le constituant le plus dense (48) du courant est ramené à la couche émulsifiée (32) dans le récipient séparateur (23). Le constituant le moins dense (70) du courant (34) est ramené à la couche d'huile (26) dans le récipient (23). L'invention prévoit également des éléments permettant d'injecter des substances chimiques dans les courants à différents endroits (54, 68) du système afin d'améliorer la séparation.
