Abstract

La valvule cardiaque artificielle comprend une structure flexible constituée par un anneau (1) de valvule et des éléments (2) qui font saillie depuis l'anneau et définissent entre eux des évidements, l'anneau ayant la forme d'une coquille; des voiles (4) d'ouverture et de fermeture de la valvule sont fixés à ladite structure et vont au-delà du sommet des éléments saillants (2); un revêtement de péricarde de veau appliqué à ladite structure avec une épaisseur de 16 à 22 mm; et un anneau pour fixer la valvule au tissu cardiaque du patient. La valvule de l'invention est utile comme composant de substitution de valvule humaine malade ou présentant un dysfonctionnement.
