  • the DTMF-circuits can be omitted from the system, which of course will reduce manufacturing costs.
  • the telephone and the computer can be purchased and used individually.
  • the best implementation due to its versa- tility could be that of figure 5, where the modem card is connected to the PC, to a cellular telephone and to a terminal of the immobile network.

Abstract

Afin de relier un ordinateur (4) à un téléphone analogique individuel (1), on équipe l'ordinateur d'une carte de modem (5) comprenant une fonction de modem, un adaptateur de bus audio téléphonique, une porte adaptée au bus de commmande numérique du téléphone, des connexions destinées aux bus audio et de commande, et du logiciel, la carte de modem pouvant convertir les instructions de modem numérique en instructions téléphoniques et vice-versa. Le téléphone (1) est de préférence un téléphone cellulaire et l'ordinateur (4) peut être un ordinateur personnel portable. Il est aussi possible de faire en sorte que la carte de modem soit reliée à d'autres équipements de réseau téléphonique fixes tels qu'un terminal de télécopieur.
