Abstract

With a process and device for acquiring and transmitting electronic information with components movable relative to each other, especially electrical conductors for telescopic crane booms, both the position of a conductor in relation to another is to be acquirable and power made available to consumers in the telescopic booms. This is achieved in that the electrical conductors are interconnected for length measurement in such a way that through electrical conduction is provided to the end of the line for a voltage jump given for a defined position of the conductor. The length is measured by means of the reflection time and the electrical conductors take the form of electrically insulated conductor tracks applied to each section of the crane boom specifically for the transmission of electronic information. An electrical connection exists from one conductor track section to another and with connection to a data acquisition and/or evaluation and/or transmission device.
