Abstract

Un système d'éclairage (10) à lampe-éclair et un procédé permettant d'obtenir un éclairage artificiel à des fins de capture d'images. Une source de lumière éclair fonctionne sélectivement dans un premier mode de projection de lumière dans une première direction (16), vers une surface de réflexion indirecte (18), afin d'éclairer indirectement un objet (20), et dans un deuxième mode de projection de lumière dans une deuxième direction (82), afin d'éclairer directement l'objet (20). Les rayonnements électromagnétiques directement réflechis par la surface de réflexion indirecte sont directement captés (40) de manière à générer des signaux contenant des informations sur la surface de réflexion indirecte et les informations contenues dans ces signaux sont utilisées pour commander (42) la plojection sélective de lumière dans les première et deuxième directions, afin de régler les quantités de lumière directe et indirecte qui éclairent l'objet. Dans un aspect, des rayonnements électromagnétiques, tels que des rayonnements infrarouges, sont transmis à la surface de réflexion indirecte de sorte qu'une partie des rayonnements soient renvoyés par la surface au système d'éclairage à lampe-éclair, où ils sont détectés afin de générer des signaux contenant des informations concernant la distance qui sépare la surface et un endroit donné dans le système d'éclairage à lampe-éclair. Dans un autre aspect, la lumière réfléchiedirectement par la surface de réflexion indirecte lorsque la source fonctionne dans le premier mode d'éclairage, ou d'éclairage indirect, est directement reçue par un capteur dans le système afin de générer des signaux qui indiquent la présence de la surface de réflexion indirecte.
