Abstract

Un accumulateur bipolaire mince au plomb comprend une ou plusieurs cellules pourvues chacune d'un évent unidirectionnel qui permet d'éliminer les gaz générés pendant la formation ou la surcharge de l'accumulateur. Une pièce d'écartement plane ayant une partie centrale découpée reçoit les composants de l'électrode et du séparateur et comprend un ou plusieurs passages intérieurs qui s'étendent de la paroi de la partie découpée jusqu'à l'extérieur d'un de ses bords. La pièce d'écartement ressemble alors à un cadre pour composants de l'accumulateur. Des pellicules sont appliquées aux surfaces opposées de la pièce d'écartement et s'étendent vers l'extérieur de celle-ci, au moins à proximité de l'orifice de la pièce d'écartement. La pellicule est scellée, par exemple par voie thermique, dans toutes les régions extérieures sauf dans la région adjacente à l'orifice. Une huile, telle que l'huile de silicone, est utilisée entre la pellicule et la région non scellée de manière à former une soupape d'aération unidirectionnelle du type en bec de canard.
