Abstract

Une unité de batterie rechargeable (20) destinée à un ordinateur (10) portatif ou à un autre dispositif alimenté par batterie permet la recharge de la batterie pendant que celle-ci se trouve dans l'ordinateur (10), ou le retrait de ladite unité de batterie (20) dans son ensemble, et la recharge de ladite batterie à l'extérieur de l'ordinateur (10) par connexion d'un convertisseur de courant alternatif-courant continu (28) directement à ladite unité de batterie (20). Cet agencement permet de retirer une unité de batterie (20) et de la remplacer par une unité de batterie chargée (20), de sorte que ledit ordinateur portatif (10) n'est pas occupé par la charge de la batterie et peut être transporté et utilisé tandis qu'une autre unité de batterie (20) est chargée. L'unité de batterie (20) de l'invention comporte une connexion d'alimentation (26) en courant continu identique à la connexion de courant continu (16) se trouvant à l'extérieur de l'ordinateur (10).
