Abstract

Dans un système informatique de génération d'images en temps réel à correction d'ensemble incorporée de distorsions, une image pré-distorse est calculée et placée dans une trame de projection avant sa projection sur un écran de visualisation pour que l'image vue par un observateur paraîsse correcte. Selon un procédé de réalisation de la correction d'ensemble des distorsions en temps réel, les caractéristiques fixes de transfert d'une lentille de projection sont couplées au transfert scène par scène de chaque point parmi une pluralité de points depuis une trame de projection jusqu'à un emplacement sur l'écran de visualisation. Chaque image est divisée en une pluralité d'empans et des correspondances sont établies entre les coins des empans sur la trame de projection et l'écran de visualisation. La localisation des sommets des images sur l'écran de visualisation est déterminée par rapport à l'observateur et des correspondances sont établies entre les sommets et des emplacements sur la trame de projection. Une image est alors générée en localisant les empans dans lesquels se situe chaque sommet et construisant l'image sur la trame de projection en utilisant les coins des empans tracés en espace tel qu'il est vu par l'observateur et les sommets tracés en espace de projection. L'image pré-distorse reconstruite est alors projectée sur l'écran de visualisation de manière à paraître correcte à un observateur.
