B e it known that We, JOHN D. WILKINSON and E. O. BOYLE, of Plattsburgh, in the countyof Clinton, and in the State of N ew York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Tool for mechanics; and do hereby declare that the following is afull, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, and

the letters of reference markedthereon.

In the annexed drawings, making a part ofthis specification, A represents a circular wire gauge, made ot' any suitable dimensions, to be carried in the pocket, Y and ,B represents a bolt or pivot passing through one 'edge of said Wire' gauge and the dividers C, rule D,

and square E,'on one side of said gauge, and through the calipers F and H on the other side, thereby holding or pivotinY all of the above-named implements together. The implements above named are all made to correspond in length to the diameter ofthe gauge A, and, being pivoted at'one side or edge of the saine,

may be folded up in a convenient manner, so as to be carried in the pocket by any mechanic `or person desiring the same.

The advantages of the above combination are obvious, as the mechanic may always have at hand almost any kind of tool required to take measure-- ments lor dimensions of magnitudes. i
