Be it known that I, ABRAHAM S. MILLER, of Bluffton, in the county of Wells, and State of Indiana, have invented a new and useful Machine for Breaking Flax, entitled a Flax-Break; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, true, and exact description ofthe -construction and operation ofthe same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings. My inventonconsists ofthe ordinary hand-break attached to a pitmnn, A, in such manner as to be driven by horse or steam-power. Said pitman, (marked A,) shaft, (marked 13,) hinge at head of break, (marked 11,) and jonrnals', (marked C, D, F, and G,) together with guide H at head of break I, constructed of iron; balance of machine constructed ofwood.
Claim. I claim the guide H,in combination with the break I, constructed and arranged as and for the purpose set forth.
