Be it known thatjI, WILLIAM H. FLINN, of Nashua, in the county of Hillsboro, and Stute of New Hump shire, have invented a. new and useful Apparatus for Administering Medicine from aJ Bottle; and I'do hereby declare the same to be fully described in the-following specicotion, and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which-,-

In such drawings, 'A denotes the stopper or cork of u. bottle. B is u cup or small bottlevor vessel, provided with an open mouth nt top, to receive n cork or stopper, C. There also extends down from the bottom of the vessel B, o. tubular stem, D, which is closed atvits lower end, und et its upper end opens directly into. the said vessel or cup D.' Au opening, a, is .formed laterally through the side of the stem D, just above its bottom.

-When the cork or stopper, provided with the cup und tube, is in the neck' of o. bottle containing u medicine or other matter, und the cup is stopped by u cork placed in its mouth, the cup may be filled with the liquid by vinverting thc bottle. `Next, by moving the cup with-respect` to the cork, so as to canse the opening, a, of the tuboof the cup to`bc stopped by the cork, the cup wilil'be charged with the liquid, und may be emptied into ,the mouth oi' zi. person by removing the cork from the mouth of the cup, und inverting the cup, so as to conse its contents to be discharged through its month. In this wey the charger or cup muy be filled from lthc bottle withoutrcmoving the cork from the letter.
The combination of the administering-vessel or cup, B, and its induction-tube D, provided with the open ing, und sealed ut bottom, als described, irith thc cork or' stopper of-u bottle, thc whole being arranged und so :ts to opcravte'substontinlly ns und for the purpose specified.
