Beit known that I, 'HENRI-YIHEIMERLE, of the eityot Butalo, county of Erie, and State Of-New York, have invented a certain new and 'improved Beer-Cooler; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawingsmaking a part,of this spcification,

The nature of my invention consists, rst, in the combination and arrangement of a fiat tank or reservoir, standingon end, and filled with Coldwater, with a pipe, or series of pipes or conductors placed therein, at a slight incline, in such manner that the liquid to hc cooled may, when introduced into the top end of said pipes, slowly descend throughlthe conductors to the bottom of the tank, and during such descent be cooled; second, in the combination andnrrangeinent, withsaid tank and conductors, of annmber of open troughs arranged upon the outside of the tank, and connected by means of the pipes or conductors in such manner that the liquid to be cooled, in its descent, will intermittently be "exposed to the atmosphere for evaporation and condensation.

In Fig. III, two of these coolers are represented as connected together; which is rendered necessary in large breweries or distilleries, where the'capacity of one cooler is insuliicient.
