Description
도 2a 및 도 2b는 다양한 양의 세리아를 함유하는 OSC에 대하여 희박 및 농후 에이징 후 이용가능한 PGM 표면을 비교하는 막대 그래프이다.
도 3은 농후 및 희박 작동 조건 하에서 본 발명의 촉매에 대한 CO 변환 효율의 그래프이다.
도 4는 농후 및 희박 작동 조건 하에서 본 발명의 촉매에 대한 HC 변환 효율의 그래프이다.
Claims (15)
- 세리아가 없는 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 팔라듐 및 내화성 금속 산화물 상에 함침된 백금을 포함하는, 기재 상에 형성된 제1 촉매층 및
세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 백금 및 로듐을 포함하는, 제1 촉매층 상에 형성된 팔라듐이 없는 제2 촉매층
을 포함하며,
상기 세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분은 실질적으로 내화성 금속 산화물이 없고 실질적으로 비-세리아 산소 저장 성분이 없는 것인,
내연 엔진으로부터의 배기가스 중 일산화탄소를 감소시키는데 효과적인, 내연 엔진에서 사용하기 위한 촉매 물품. - 제1항에 있어서, 제1 촉매층 중 팔라듐이 지르코니아-프라세오디미아 상에 함침되고 제1 촉매층 중 백금이 알루미나 상에 함침되거나, 또는 제1 촉매층 중 팔라듐이 지르코니아-프라세오디미아 상에 함침되고 제1 촉매층 중 백금 및 팔라듐이 알루미나 상에 함침되는 것인 물품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제2 촉매층의 산소 저장 성분이 약 40% 내지 약 100%의 세리아를 함유하는 물품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 총 20 내지 100 g/ft3의 백금 족 금속 또는 총 40 내지 80 g/ft3의 백금 족 금속을 포함하는 물품.
- 제4항에 있어서, 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 백금, 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 팔라듐 및 1 내지 30 g/ft3의 로듐을 포함하는 물품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 각각 0.5-5/2-80/0.1-5의 백금/팔라듐/로듐의 중량비 또는 각각 1-3/5-40/0.25-2의 백금/팔라듐/로듐의 중량비를 갖는 물품.
- 탄화수소, 일산화탄소 및 질소 산화물을 포함하는 엔진 배기물의 처리 방법으로서,
촉매 물품과 배기물을 접촉시키는 것을 포함하며,
상기 촉매 물품은 기재 상에 코팅된 제1 촉매층 및 제1 촉매층 상에 형성된 팔라듐이 없는 제2 촉매층을 포함하고, 상기 제1 층은 세리아가 없는 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 팔라듐 및 내화성 금속 산화물 상에 함침된 백금을 포함하고, 상기 제2 층은 세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 백금 및 로듐을 포함하며, 상기 세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분은 실질적으로 내화성 금속 산화물이 없고 실질적으로 비-세리아 산소 저장 성분이 없는 것인, 배기가스 중 일산화탄소를 감소시키는데 효과적인 방법. - 제7항에 있어서, 배기물을 a) 제1 촉매층 중의, 프라세오디미아-도핑된 지르코니아 상에 함침된 팔라듐 및 알루미나 상에 함침된 백금, 및 b) 제2 층 중의, 벌크 세리아 상에 함침된 백금 및 로듐을 포함하는 촉매 물품과 접촉시키는 것인 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 백금/팔라듐/로듐의 중량비가 각각 0.5-5/2-80/0.1-5인 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 배기물을 총 20 내지 100 g/ft3의 백금 족 금속을 포함하는 촉매 물품과 접촉시키는 것인 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 배기물을 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 백금, 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 팔라듐 및 1 내지 30 g/ft3의 로듐을 포함하는 촉매 물품과 접촉시키는 것인 방법.
- 세리아가 없는 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 팔라듐 및 내화성 금속 산화물 상에 함침된 백금을 포함하는 슬러리를 기재 상에 침착시켜 기재 상에 제1 층을 형성하는 단계;
제1 층을 건조시키는 단계
세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분 상에 함침된 백금 및 로듐을 포함하는 슬러리를 제1 층 상에 침착시켜 제1 층 상에 팔라듐이 없는 제2 층을 형성하며, 상기 세리아-함유 산소 저장 성분은 실질적으로 내화성 금속 산화물이 없고 실질적으로 비-세리아 산소 저장 성분이 없는 것인 단계 및
제2 층을 건조시키는 단계
를 포함하는 촉매 물품의 제조 방법. - 제12항에 있어서, 총 20 내지 100 g/ft3의 백금 족 금속이 촉매 물품 상에 형성되는 것인 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 백금, 1 내지 90 g/ft3의 팔라듐 및 1 내지 30 g/ft3의 로듐이 촉매 물품 상에 형성되는 것인 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 백금, 팔라듐 및 로듐이 각각 0.5-5/2-80/0.1-5의 중량비로 촉매 물품 상에 침착되는 것인 방법.
