Claims (20)
- 전자 시계로서,
개구를 한정하는 하우징;
상기 하우징의 상기 개구 내에 적어도 부분적으로 위치하는 터치 디스플레이(touch display);
상기 하우징의 측면을 따라 위치하는 크라운(crown) - 상기 크라운은:
힘 입력을 수신하도록 구성된 캡; 및
상기 캡에 결합되고, 제1 전도성 요소 및 상기 제1 전도성 요소로부터 분리된 제2 전도성 요소를 포함하는 힘 센서를 포함함 -; 및
상기 하우징 내에 위치하고 상기 힘 센서에 동작가능하게 결합된 프로세싱 유닛 - 상기 프로세싱 유닛은 상기 제1 전도성 요소와 상기 제2 전도성 요소 사이의 커패시턴스의 변화에 기초하여 상기 힘 입력의 양을 산정(estimate)하도록 구성됨 - 을 포함하는 전자 시계. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 크라운은 상기 캡에 결합된 스템(stem)을 더 포함하고;
상기 개구는 제1 개구이고;
상기 하우징은 상기 하우징의 상기 측면을 따라 제2 개구를 한정하고;
상기 크라운의 상기 스템은 상기 제2 개구 내로 연장되고 상기 하우징에 회전가능하게 결합되는, 전자 시계. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 힘 센서는 상기 크라운의 상기 스템 및 상기 크라운의 상기 캡 사이에 위치하고;
상기 힘 입력은 상기 캡이 상기 스템에 대해 이동하도록 야기하고;
상기 캡의 이동은 상기 제1 전도성 요소와 상기 제2 전도성 요소 사이의 커패시턴스의 변화를 야기하는, 전자 시계. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 힘 센서는 상기 스템의 단부를 따라 위치하고;
상기 힘 입력은 상기 캡과 상기 스템이 상기 하우징에 대해 이동하도록 야기하고;

상기 전자 시계는 상기 스템의 상기 단부를 따라 위치하는 돔 스위치(dome switch)를 더 포함하고;
상기 힘 센서는 상기 돔 스위치와 상기 스템 사이에 위치하는, 전자 시계. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제1 전도성 요소는 유연성 재료에 의해 상기 제2 전도성 요소로부터 분리되고;
상기 힘 입력은 상기 제1 전도성 요소를 상기 제2 전도성 요소에 더 가깝게 이동시키도록 상기 유연성 재료가 변형되도록 야기하는, 전자 시계. - 제6항에 있어서, 상기 유연성 재료는 실리콘 재료인, 전자 시계.
- 전자 시계로서,
하우징;

상기 하우징 내에 배치되고, 상기 힘 센서에 동작가능하게 결합되며, 상기 힘 센서의 출력에 응답하여 상기 힘의 양을 산정하도록 구성된 프로세싱 유닛을 포함하고,
상기 디스플레이는 상기 프로세싱 유닛에 의해 산정된 상기 힘의 양에 응답하고, 상기 디스플레이는 상기 크라운에 의해 수신된 상기 회전 입력에 응답하는, 전자 시계. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 힘 센서는 제1 전도성 요소 및 제2 전도성 요소를 포함하고;
유연성 재료가 상기 제1 전도성 요소와 상기 제2 전도성 요소 사이에 위치하고;
상기 유연성 재료는 상기 크라운에 인가된 상기 힘에 응답하여 변형되도록 구성되는, 전자 시계. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 전자 시계는 상기 하우징에 결합된 내부 코어(inner core)를 더 포함하고;
상기 크라운은 상기 내부 코어에 결합된 캡을 포함하고;
상기 제1 전도성 요소는 상기 내부 코어에 대해 고정되고;
상기 제2 전도성 요소는 상기 캡에 대해 고정되는, 전자 시계. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 크라운은 상기 힘을 수신하도록 구성된 캡을 포함하고;
상기 힘은 상기 캡을 상기 하우징 쪽으로 변위(displace)시키는, 전자 시계. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 힘은 제1 힘이고;
상기 크라운은 상기 제1 힘을 수신하도록 구성된 캡을 포함하고;
상기 캡은 상기 제1 힘을 수신하는 것에 응답하여 상기 하우징 쪽으로 향하는 제1 방향으로 변위되도록 구성되고;
상기 캡은 제2 힘을 수신하도록 구성되고;
상기 캡은 상기 제2 힘에 응답하여 상기 제1 방향에 횡방향인 제2 방향으로 변위되도록 구성되고;
상기 디스플레이는 상기 크라운에 인가되는 상기 제2 힘에 응답하는, 전자 시계. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 디스플레이는 아이콘을 디스플레이하도록 구성되고;
상기 프로세싱 유닛은 상기 힘의 양이 임계치를 초과하는지 여부를 결정하도록 구성되고;
상기 아이콘과 연관된 애플리케이션은 상기 임계치를 초과하는 상기 힘에 응답하여 실행되는, 전자 시계. - 전자 시계로서,
하우징;
상기 하우징 내에 적어도 부분적으로 위치하고, 그래픽 출력(graphical output)을 디스플레이하도록 구성된 디스플레이;
상기 하우징에 결합된 크라운 - 상기 크라운은:
힘을 수신하도록 구성된 외부 표면을 한정하는 캡; 및
상기 캡에 결합되고, 상기 수신된 힘에 응답하여 비-바이너리(non-binary) 출력을 생성하도록 구성된 힘 센서를 포함함 -; 및
상기 비-바이너리 출력에 응답하여 상기 디스플레이의 상기 그래픽 출력을 수정하도록 구성된 프로세싱 유닛을 포함하는 전자 시계. - 제14항에 있어서,
상기 힘 센서는 제1 전도성 요소와 제2 전도성 요소를 포함하고;
상기 제1 전도성 요소는 유연성 유전체 재료에 의해 상기 제2 전도성 요소로부터 분리되고;
상기 힘 센서는 상기 수신된 힘에 의해 야기된 상기 제1 전도성 요소와 상기 제2 전도성 요소 사이의 커패시턴스의 변화에 기초하여 상기 비-바이너리 출력을 생성하도록 구성되는, 전자 시계. - 제15항에 있어서,
