Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the non-answered call transferring time of an extension which makes no answer many times so as to use an automatic exchange smoothly, by automatically making the non-answering call transferring time variable in accordance with a previously experienced continuous non-answer call transferring number of times. CONSTITUTION:When an extension subscriber 11 calls up another extension subscriber 12, a central controller (CC)5 actuates a timer (TIM)9 for counting non-answered call transferring time and, when the called subscriber 12 does not make any answer until time-out information is issued from the TIM9, sends a calling signal to an extension subscriber 13. At the same time, the CC5 sets another counter 8 for counting non-answered call transferring frequency to a count-up condition. The CC5 selectively reads out non-answered call transferring time data T1 corresponding to a non-answered call transferring frequency from a non-answered call transferring time data storage device (TDA)7 and sets the readout time in the TIM9, and then, connects the subscribers 11 and 13 with each other through the extension if the subscriber 13 answers until the TIM9 attains to time-out.
