Abstract

The device incorporates an electronic circuit presenting a detection ring (15), of which an electrical characteristic is modified when an effort is made to remove it from the article to which it is attached. An electronic module (13) is capable of detecting the modification of this electrical characteristic and to inform the surveillance equipment. The device takes the form of an adhesive label, having on its reverse side by an adhesive by means of which it is applied to the article to be protected and formed in several peelable layers. The label incorporates a first flong and a second flong (6) fixed on the first by an adhesive having a lower adhesion strength than that of the adhesive on the rear side of the label. The detection ring (15) is arranged on the second flong and attached to the first flong, in order that its electrical characteristic be modified when the second flong is disturbed.
