Abstract
The invention relates to an elastic cuff positioned on the caregiver's forearm. It makes it possible to optimize the use of therapeutic syringes, during pre-hospital care in difficult hygiene and safety conditions, by wearing syringes directly on the caregiver, in a color-coded manner. It consists of a flat elastic (1) surmounted by 4 elastic loops (2) sewn (3) one after the other into which are inserted the medicinal syringes (4) prepared by the caregiver who has the cuff on his forearm (5). The cuff, by way of nonlimiting example, is intended for medical and paramedical staff working in the field of pre-hospital emergency in order to optimize the management of medicinal syringes at the intervention sites.
Description
DescriptionDescription
Title of the invention: Emergency cuff The present invention relates to a device for storing clean and organized syringes containing therapeutics during emergency rescue operations or patient transport.
The conditions for pre-hospital intervention do not have the same characteristics as the conditions for hospital care. Indeed, the pre-hospital creates difficulties in respect of hygiene, safety and comfort of the caregiver. The device I am proposing will allow us to be more pragmatic in the organization of the intervention. Also it can solve three problems in the field:
[0003] - Le soignant doit avoir en urgence ses outils de soins à proximité immédiate.- The caregiver must have emergency care tools in the immediate vicinity.
The management of syringes during pre-hospital operations may not meet the strict rules of hygiene. For example, during an intervention on a road accident involving cars. Syringes, once prepared by the caregiver, can be stored on a field on the ground while awaiting injection. They are therefore exposed not only to climatic conditions but also to pollution generated by this type of intervention such as engine oil, fuel, absorbent sand and can also be trampled or lost.
[0005] - Il existe également un risque de mélange involontaire de seringue si l’intervention présente plusieurs victimes pour un seul soignant.- There is also a risk of involuntary syringe mixing if the intervention presents several victims for a single caregiver.
[0006] Le dispositif selon l’invention permet de remédier à ces trois problématiques :The device according to the invention overcomes these three problems:
It is an elastic cuff which is positioned on the caregiver's forearm and allows therapy to be concentrated in one place, directly on the caregiver. It therefore limits the risk of hygienic breakdown by avoiding leaving syringes lying around unattended. Stored on the caregiver's forearm, the syringes are then less exposed to the external pollution previously described.
This cuff is composed on its periphery of 4 elastic loops of different color. They are intended, by way of nonlimiting example, to receive therapeutic syringes of different sizes. These colors correspond to the international drug color codes, supported by the recommendations of the SFAR (French society of anesthesia and resuscitation):
These loops allow better syringe management by supporting their identification with these color codes, which are very well known to caregivers, thus increasing the safety of the intervention.
In the event of an intervention with several victims, for example in an accident on the public highway, the caregiver can have two armbands, one on each arm. Each armband will be dedicated to a victim. This device provides increased security, avoiding the exchange of syringes between several victims.
[0015] Les figures annexées illustrent l’invention :The attached figures illustrate the invention:
Ligure 1 represents the invention in its use [0017] Liguria 2 and 3 represent the invention at rest, more precisely.
Referring to these photos, the device is composed of a flat elastic (1), thus creating the cuff. As a non-limiting example, it is 40mm wide. The length of the elastic is defined according to the circumference of the caregiver's forearm. The two ends overlap on 3cm and are connected to each other by a seam.
On the right side of the cuff are 4 loops (2) of different colors (Yellow, blue, orange and gray) intended to hold the syringes (4) on the cuff. The loops are formed using a flat elastic band 10mm wide and 50mm long. They are sewn one after the other on the main elastic, in the middle, as follows:
[0020] - 10mm de marge de couture (3) [0021] - 15mm d’espace libre, formant la boucle (2) [0022] - 10mm de marge de couture (3) [0023] Les couleurs des boucles sont fixes et ne peuvent être changées.- 10mm of seam allowance (3) - 15mm of free space, forming the loop (2) [0022] - 10mm of seam allowance (3) [0023] The colors of the loops are fixed and cannot be changed.
[0024] Le brassard se porte sur l’avant-bras (5) du soignant. The cuff is worn on the forearm (5) of the caregiver.
The cuff, by way of nonlimiting example, is intended for medical and paramedical personnel working in the field of pre-hospital emergency in order to optimize the management of medicinal syringes at the places of intervention.
