Abstract

Pressure beams for circular saws which press a workpiece on to the machine tool table, with a step running near and parallel to the cutting plane of the saw. Between the neighbouring area of the step to the workpiece and the workpiece itself a repeatable deformable pressur e component is provided and the pressure beam is movably located upwards and downwards relative to the machine table. The pressure member is a hydraulic and/or pneumatic inflatable hose, and the pressure beam when applied to the workpiece is locked and prevented from lifting. The hose is fitted on to the step of the pressure beam.
