Abstract

Liquid concentration system by evaporation for contaminant effluents without the interposition of metal surfaces between the liquid to be evaporated and heat source. It comprises three zones: a) The mechanical burner for solid fuels. It incorporates a furnace internally of refractory materials and externally of ordinary construction. b) The evaporation zone consists of a metal tower, where direct contact is established between the liquid to be evaporated and heat source by means of circulating spray and ascending gases product of the combustion by the burner, c) This is the circulating liquid cooling zone which permits easy handling of the concentrated liquid which is removed from the system, and where an added evaporative effect is obtained. It is of application in all industrial activities with a requirement to reduce or eliminate the contaminant effluents which they generate.
