Document-processing device with a stand bottom part (2) which has paper storage space for transversely perforated endless paper webs, a paper feed device (9) and a platen (10), and with a printing head (11), paper guide elements (16, 19, 23,24), a severing device (18,20,21) for producing individual documents, a delivery and depositing compartment (26, 31), accessible from the front, and a stand top part (6) pivotable or removable from the stand bottom part (2), characterized in that arranged in the stand top part (6) are the paper guide elements (16,19,23, 24) following the printing head (11) and the delivery and depositing compartment (26, 31) accessible from the front, which, when the stand top part (6) is in the closed position, closes the paper storage space likewise accessible from the front and located in the stand bottom part (2) which also carries the printing head (11).

4. Document-processing device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a compression spring, especially a pneumatic spring, is clamped between the stand bottom part (2) and the stand top part (6).
5. Document-processing device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that guiding profiles (16) are provided at the bottom face of the pivotable stand top part (6), which, in the closed position of the stand top part (6), serve as DaDer guide in the stand bottom part (2).
6. Document-processing device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the platen (10) of the printing device (8) serves as a deflection element for the paper web running from the stand bottom part (2) into the stand top part (6).
7. Document-processing device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an identity card reader (14) for user-related authority cards, cheque cards or the like, a keyboard (15) for entering a personal identification number and a display are provided on the top face of the stand top part (6), and in that correspondingly matched clearances are present in the housing cover (1).
