Title
ORTHOPEDIC BRACE FOR KNEE JOINT
Background of the Present Invention
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to the field of medical rehabilitation instruments, and
particularly, to an orthopedic brace for knee joint.
Description of Related Arts
Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common orthopedic diseases and is mainly
characterized by knee cartilage degeneration and bone hyperplasia, which has a relatively high
incidence rate in middle-aged and elderly populations and seriously affects the living standards of
patients. In a course of the disease, unbalance of limb alignment is a main reason for knee osteoarthritis,
and when the disease develops to a terminal stage, treatment generally can be performed only through
knee osteotomy correction techniques or knee replacement. However, in addition to considerable costs
and a long postoperative recovery cycle, surgical treatment may lead to a risk of replacing prosthesis
through a second operation for young patients. Therefore, slowing down the course development
through conservative treatment becomes one of important treatment methods for treating knee
osteoarthritis. The orthopedic brace for knee joint can apply different orthopedic forces to two sides
of a knee joint to redistribute stress conditions of an inner side and an outer side of the knee joint, to
correct the limb alignment, reduce compartment loads on a diseased side of the knee joint, and
alleviate pain without reducing the comfort.

the fixing plate 311 and the sliding plate 312, the sliding plate 312 is connected to the thigh support
member 1, the fixing plate 311 is connected to the intermediate connection portion 32, and the lower
connection portion 33 is connected to the lower leg support member 2.
In the orthopedic brace for knee joint, the upper connection portion 31 includes a fixing plate

plate 311, and the fixing unit 313 is used for fixing the fixing plate 311 and the sliding plate 312. By
connecting the sliding plate 312 and the fixing plate 311, a patient can adjust the orthopedic brace for
knee joint conveniently and independently, thereby reducing an adjustment time, increasing the
compliance of the patient, and improving a treatment effect. By connecting the sliding plate 312 and
the fixing plate 311, in use of the orthopedic brace for knee joint, an orthopedic force is applied by
increasing a length on a side (diseased side) suffering relatively great force of the patient by 1 to 2
centimeters (cm), to reduce a stress condition of the diseased side. After a patient with a disease such
as knee osteoarthritis, genu varum, or genu valgum wears the orthopedic brace for knee joint,
compartment pressure of a knee joint on a narrower side can be reduced, further development of the
disease of a compartment of a diseased side can be postponed, and surgical treatment can be postponed
or avoided. After the orthopedic brace for knee joint is wom, pain caused by non-uniform distribution
