Forakselbærer (1) for motorkjøretøyer hvor to respektive opptak eller utsparinger (5, 6) for opplagringsstedene for svingeopplagring av et respektivt av to hjulstyringsledd (7), så som tverr- eller trekantledd, og opptak (18, 19, 20) for festing av forakselbæreren som prefabrikert enhet sammen med premonterte aggregater til kjøretøyskroget, er anordnet. Videre forefinnes det i det minste noen av de nedenfor angitte opptak eller utsparinger for innfesting av styringen (13), stabilisatoren (15), en pendelstøtte (14) og forakselbæreren. Forakselbæreren er utformet som en enhetlig del med utsparingene eller opptakene og forbinder disse, og forakselbæreren er utformet som en bygge-komponent av lettmetall.
