Steps to reproduce

1. Forbid network access to Github
2. Run any command, grit check for example

Additional context

ENOTFOUND github.com

Even with --no-cache or telemetry disabled with GRIT_TELEMETRY_DISABLED I got this error... Why are you even contacting github in the first place ? Why is it an error and not a silent fail ?
