Big5 碼包含13,060 個漢字。香港增補字符集(HKSCS) 是Big5 的擴充，最初於1999 年制定，包含了額外的4,702 個漢字，用於香港的電腦系統。之後HKSCS 又經過多次更新，最新版本HKSCS-2016 包含5,033 個字符。
