Acceptance

GIVEN I have just created a new group

• THEN I should be redirected to my new group homepage in less than 500ms

Context

Currently it takes several seconds to redirect after filling out the group creation form and the app appears to be hung or broken. This is not a good first user interaction.

The reason it takes so long is because the POST does not complete until after the Google API has made several round trip network calls. If we performed these calls in a background job the redirect would be instantaneous

Question

I'm not sure how important it is to play this ASAP. I don't think it would take very long to do . What do others think?
