I'm allowed to be sad when I want to be.
thinking differently to other people is more of a good thing than a bad thing because herd mentality has killed millions throughout history so it's okay that my thoughts don't make sense to most people i share them with
I try my best and thats enough. Just because someone dislikes me doesn't mean everyone does. I'm not a hypocrite I'm not a hypocrite I'm not a hypocrite I'm not a hypocrite.
i think I'm nice. I feel like I can come off as rude sometimes, but then I see how the people around me act and I realize I'm a great person.
i think i’m friendly and always try my best to make people feel welcomed, no matter my own opinions on them
I'm proud of how far I've come when accepting myself, and I'm unafraid to speak up about my beliefs <3
I learned to love my body (:
I learned to love my personality, it’s amazing.
(I think I did this wrong OH WELL..)
I'm persistent in the defense of myself and my identity despite what other people think or say about it. And 9 times out of 10 I get to look in the mirror and smile ^^
I've learned overtime and through experience that putting myself first doesn't make me a bad person, nor does it make me a bad friend. You should always be your own first priority <3
It’s ok for me to feel deeply, sometimes I feel even deeper than others. It’s not a good or a bad thing, it just is. Accepting that has done wonders for me <3
i remember being like 11 and asking my dad why he hunts and kills deer and he said “because i think theyre beautiful” and that’s just. that’s just what men are like
Yeah… &?
Is it any different that women seeing cute things & wanting to squish their face?
Is killing different than endearing physical contact? Local man unsure
I really like … many aspects of hunting. And I think animals are beautiful. may I present
What is the point of mounting something like this sad, gross, proof that you will end a beautiful life for no good reason….
when you could frame you up a trophy like the photo below !?
This takes at least as much skill, and involves all the same wilderness stalking. It proves that you are both brave AND compassionate. There’s no downside to doing this instead. Imagine you go to somebody’s home, and they have a trophy room filled with beautifully composed close up photos of wolves and deer and boar and eagles and things all over the walls, with a couple camera guns mounted up there too - on one wall is a photo of a standing bear who obviously sees the person taking the photo and it’s been blown up so the bear is life size (that’s why you need that gun-barrel lens, so the quality holds up when you enlarge the pic) The person you are visiting is like, “yeah, I took all these.” THAT’s impressive. A room full of dead things just means they are weird and gross and pointlessly cruel and proud of it.
When it comes to hunting, I think there’s three reasons that are legitimate for actually killing your prey.
1) Hunting for food
2) Hunting for study (if it’s an answer you absolutely cannot get from capture/ observation/ carcasses)
3) Hunting for environmental health (keeping exploding populations under control or exterminating destructive invasive species)
Hunting for a trophy to show off how badass you are at snuffing out life is hunting for vanity. It hurts the environment and the species by taking out strong genes and disrupting social groups while causing undue harm and distress.
His Persephone 💕
a quick psa to anyone recently getting into greek mythology and is a victim of tumblr and/or tiktok misconceptions:
-there is no shame in being introduced to mytholgy from something like percy jackson, epic the musical or anything like that, but keep in mind that actual myths are going to be VERY different from modern retellings
-the myth of medusa you probably know (her being a victim of poseidon and being cursed by athena) isn't 100% accurate to GREEK mythology (look up ovid)
-there is no version of persephone's abduction in which persephone willingly stays with hades, that's a tumblr invention (look up homeric hymn to demeter)
-as much as i would like it, no, cerberus' name does not mean "spot" (probably a misunderstanding from this wikipedia article)
-zeus isn't the only god who does terrible things to women, your fav male god probably has done the same
-on that note, your fav greek hero has probably done some heinous shit as well
-gods are more complicated than simply being "god of [insert thing]", many titles overlap between gods and some may even change depending on where they were worshipped
-also, apollo and artemis being the gods of the sun and the moon isn't 100% accurate, their main aspects as deities originally were music and the hunt
-titans and gods aren't two wholly different concepts, titan is just the word used to decribe the generation of gods before the olympians
-hector isn't the villain some people make him out to be
-hephaestus WAS married to aphrodite. they divorced. yes, divorce was a thing in ancient greece. hephaestus' wife is aglaia
-ancient greek society didn't have the same concepts of sexuality that we have now, it's incorrect to describe virgin goddesses like artemis and athena as lesbians, BUT it's also not wholly accurate to describe them as aromantic/asexual, it's more complex than that
-you can never fully understand certain myths if you don't understand the societal context in which they were told
-myths have lots and lots of retellings, there isn't one singular "canon", but we can try to distinguish between older and newer versions and bewteen greek and roman versions
-most of what you know about sparta is probably incorrect
-reading/waching retellings is not a substitute to reading the original myths, read the iliad! read the odyssey! i know they may seem intimidating, but they're much more entertaining than you may think
greek mythology is so complex and interesting, don't go into it with preconcieved notions! try to be open to learn!
There's this variety series where idols call family(or friends) to make them say "I love you" and I just thought, whew! Huntrix would be the worst guests for that lmao
(let's pretend some sort of mix up happened and management didn't realize Huntrix showing up there would be a baaad idea)
Mira's phone call is based on Gowon from Loona's phone call with her own brother btw. So I take no credit for how fucking funny that was.
Mira and her brother are having the most accurate sibling convo ever. 😂 No notes. Perfection all around.
A personal headcanon of mine is that Percy through nature or nurture has developed a very distinct fighting style characteristic of Poseidon and his warriors of the sea. It is erratic, disorienting and overwhelming. It’s fluid and flows from one form to the next without preamble. Percy himself is a blur that’s everywhere and nowhere at once, with this powers only enhancing those qualities. It’s what I think has made him particularly adept at soloing large cavalries at a time. We saw it multiple times in the battle of Manhattan, we saw it after he got the Curse of Achilles. We saw it during the war games at camp Jupiter and it’s the end of SON and several other times that I can’t remember too probably. I like to think that when the Olympians and other creatures see him fight, powers or no, they immediately recognise it as Poseidon’s trademark.
Now, going off of the fact that Percy and Annabeth regularly sparred together and the fact that Annabeth was the only one at camp that could go toe to toe with him, I also like to think that over time whether she wanted to or not, Annabeth picked up those idiosyncrasies and made it her own. It becomes particularly clear whenever she finds herself using a weighted sword instead of her usual dagger. I like to think that sometimes when the Olympians check in on their battles and quests , Poseidon is delighted to see her execute perfectly orchestrated manoeuvres that throws her enemies for a loop and that is so him that he can’t help but cackle at Athena’s disgusted face.
Similarly, I like to think that sparring with Annabeth has only heightened Percy’s natural battle intellect and allowed him to incorporate strategy to grant him the edge in battles. Perhaps most interestingly , Annabeth’s fighting style of being swift in getting under her enemies' guard has taken the form of him taking advantage of Riptide’s one-handedness and honing his abilities to instantaneously fashion crystallised daggers out of thin air to catch his opponents off guard and strike decisive blows out of the blue. The daggers shatter quite easily , but they do their job (Annabeth calls it cheating , Percy calls her a hater. “The shape of water as it turns out Wise Girl, is a knife in the back ) After all, if he can poison-bend , he should eventually have easy access to other natural states of water and have the ability to enhance their properties.
I just really like the idea of their relationship, history and intimacy manifesting in ways for allies and foes alike to see clear as day , even if they themselves do not. I like the idea of it making them more formidable than they already were and that much more frightening when they fight together.
that one scene where Annabeth laughs in Tartarus, literally the worst fucking place you could possibly be in the whole pantheon—the innards of a primordial itself, prison of the worst enemies of the gods, and birth place of monsters—and she laughed in pure happiness there because not even hell could make her lose her spark when the one person she loves most is with her I'm so
you need to understand that i have two sets of headcanons. there's the set of realistic headcanons based on my genuine reading of the show, and then there's me playing pretend with my dolls.
